History

Aldolfo Romero was a bootmaker in León, Mexico, named by True West magazine as Ronny Stewart’s business partner. True West (2 October 2006) says Romero and Stewart teamed up in the 1940s in León before parting ways in 1955. Stewart Boot Company’s own history page says that in 1940 Stewart partnered with the “Romero Boot Company,” calling it the premier bootmaker of the era, though the company’s own page doesn’t print a first name. Sources differ on the spelling: True West prints Aldolfo, while “Adolfo” also appears elsewhere.
