Biography
History
Antonio Lucchese was a brother of Salvatore “Sam” Lucchese who joined the family's San Antonio boot and shoe shop. The San Antonio Express-News and Women's Wear Daily both name Michael Lucchese and Antonio as the two other brothers who joined Salvatore and Joseph at the shop, where the family received the first inseamer machine in the southwestern United States, in 1890.
Lucchese's own company timeline does not name Antonio, and the Handbook of Texas's account of Sam and his brothers opening the factory does not print his given name either. No birth or death year for him has surfaced. He should not be confused with Samuel James Lucchese, a later company president and a different person.
