Biography

History

Dave Little is a San Antonio bootmaker at Little’s Boot Company. True West (2 October 2006) reports that the shop was started as a shoe-repair business in 1915 by Little’s grandfather, and quotes him: “How we stayed in business this long is un-believable,” and “I’ve always insisted that we’re here to provide a service of quality. We’re not interested in quantity.” The article calls the shop one of the best-fitting around, but it does not give Little a birth year or his grandfather’s first name. A photo caption in the same article names Juan Ortiz as a stitcher at the shop.
