History
Greg Carmack is a Texas bootmaker who learned the trade from Larry Jackson in Walnut Springs, Texas, in a shop that ran a small daily production against a constant pile of orders. By his high-school years he could do every step of the process, and in 1997 he bought the shop he had grown up in, later saying that fit was the hardest part of ownership.
He credits an Oklahoma bootmaker he calls Ben Nobody with teaching him a trial-fit method. By 2019 he was working out of Waco, Texas.
