Mark Candela is a bootmaker in Weimar, Texas, running Candela Boot Co. In a 25 April 2019 interview, he said he learned bootmaking first from Lee Miller, driving to Austin on weekends and holidays while still working a corporate job; Miller taught him fit, last-building, patterns, and construction. He later worked with Dave Wheeler. Before bootmaking, Candela worked as a CPA and ran a technology company. No opening year for the Weimar shop survives.
