Biography
The bootmaker and the company
Martin Luther Leddy bought the Brady shop in 1922, the founding year used by M.L. Leddy’s. The business moved to San Angelo in 1936 and opened its Fort Worth Stockyards store in 1941.
His sons Dale and Hollis and son-in-law Jim Franklin purchased the business from the founders in the early 1950s. Martin Luther Leddy died in 1957; the company continued under later generations of the family.
