Biography
History
Pedro Muñoz is the designer and owner of Stallion Boot Company in El Paso. His own page on the company site says he made his first boots at age five in Zaragoza, in northern Mexico, on the way to a family ranch in the Sierra Madre. In 1974, while in college, his father took him to a bootmaker in Juárez, and together they designed a pair.
Five years later, in El Paso, he met Jose Gallegos and Plutarco Rodriguez: “Our combined skills and knowledge formed what is now the Stallion Boot & Belt Co.” Texas Monthly (June 2002) calls him a longtime boot collector who “made a killing off of the Urban Cowboy craze,” designing boots for trunk shows and couture retailers.
