Abraham Rios once ran Raymondville, Texas’s biggest boot shop, serving area ranches including the King Ranch. His nephew, Armando Duarte Rios, later brought 45 years of experience to the boots made at Armando’s. No founding year or street address for Abraham’s own shop survives in the record, and he should not be confused with Rios of Mercedes or with Zeferino Rios, a different person entirely.
