Acme Boots

From the 1940s into the mid-1980s, Acme was widely described as the world’s largest maker of cowboy boots. Depression-era Acme Shoe Manufacturing in Clarksville pivoted to cowboy boots in 1935. Later the name moved through Arena Brands, a 2000 Texas Boot Company license, and 2002 sale to H.H. Brown under the Double-H family — so a post-~2000 Acme mark is not evidence of Clarksville/Ashland City golden-age production.
