• Acme-era labels. Vintage pairs are sold as “Acme Dingo” with the Acme name inside. One documented 1970s pair has interior marks “86957, 5905” and “420 Made in USA 331”; what each number means is not locked here.
• Made in USA as an era tell. Acme-era Dingos are described as USA-made. By 2002 adult western boots were also being imported from Brazil, Mexico and China, so a foreign country-of-origin mark points to a later pair. No exact cutover year is locked here.
• DI style numbers are modern. Dan Post-era Dingo boots carry DI style numbers, such as DI19057 (Dean harness), DI19090 (Rev Up) and DI19053 (Chopper). A DI number means a post-2001 boot, not an Acme one.
• “1969” branding is modern. The Dingo 1969 wordmark is current Dan Post branding, not a mark found on Acme-era boots.
• Not today's Acme. Since 2002 the Acme name has belonged to H.H. Brown / Double-H; Dingo went to Dan Post. Modern Acme and modern Dingo are unrelated lines.
