Biography
History
Justin T. Walker is a bootmaker at Tex Robin Boots in Abilene, Texas, and the grandson of Tex Robin. In a 25 April 2019 interview he says he grew up in the shop, spent 15 years in the Houston area, and moved to Abilene in May 2009 to learn the trade — the only person who taught him, he says, is his grandfather.
He says his mother also grew up in the shop, though she is not named. He lists roundup honors, including best in journeyman class at the 2009 Wichita Falls Boot and Saddlemakers Round Up and a 2017 appearance with his grandfather on Texas Heritage for Living. Duck Menzies appears with him in a photo caption from the same source, though that caption alone is not treated as a joint biography.
