• Logo. A brown “K” in a square above underlined “KING EXOTIC,” as registered with the USPTO.
• Toe codes. The 2023 catalog names models by toe code: H79 Dubai (with H79B and H79F variants), H822 wide square, H811 rodeo, H94 snip. Retailers also list H76 European toe.
• Style numbers. Catalog style numbers appear to join a toe code, a material code and a colour code (e.g. 4790316, an H79 ostrich; 479B8243, an H79B caiman belly). This reading is observed, not a published key.
• Sizing. Catalog pages print Mexican and US sizes side by side (mex 25–32 / usa 6–13). Retailers say “Made in Mexico.”
• Python notice. The catalog says python is not for sale in California or where prohibited by law.
• Not Los Altos. Same address and owner family, different label. Caption the maker from the printed label.
