Two Ways To Remove Your Data

Delete profile (the button in Edit profile) clears the public fields of your profile right away: your display name, picture, bio, fun fact, location, aliases, seller policies, and every contact method, and it turns off your public seller profile. It then signs you out. It does not delete your account, your sign-in, your listings, your Saloon posts, your reviews, or reviews written about you, and you can sign back in and fill the profile out again.

Full account deletion removes the account itself and is done by us on request, as described below.

How To Request Full Deletion

To request deletion of your Western Boot World account data, email support@westernbootworld.com from the email address connected to your account.

What To Include

Include your name, account email, and the sign-in method you used, such as Google, Microsoft, or email. We may ask for confirmation before deleting data to protect member accounts: either a reply to a one-time code sent to the account address, or a confirmation from inside a signed-in session. An authorized agent may request deletion for you with your signed permission and the same verification.

What Full Deletion Removes

Deleting your account removes your sign-in and authentication record, your profile and its Terms-acceptance record, your listings and drafts and their photos and video, your watchlist, saved searches, notifications and buyer-to-seller messages, game results and play streaks, buy-button holds, seller application, seller verification (including the hashed phone number), sign-in security signals, skin identification requests with their photos and saved AI assessments, and contributed reference photos that were not yet published under a public-display permission you gave.

What Full Deletion Keeps

Some records stay, in anonymized form, because other members depend on them: Saloon threads and replies you wrote stay in the conversation with your name removed and no link back to you; a seller review you wrote stays on the seller's record as an anonymous verified-buyer review; reports you filed stay as anonymous moderation records for up to 24 months. We also keep what the law requires or what is needed to enforce our terms: a hashed record that a banned account existed, so a banned member cannot simply re-register, and records of a deletion request itself for 24 months. Reference photos you had already allowed to be displayed publicly or used for training remain in the collection unless you withdrew them first from My submissions.

Skin identification requests, their saved AI assessments, and contributed reference photos are included in account deletion requests. You can also withdraw an individual photo set from My submissions to remove its saved AI assessment and stop active review and future reference use without deleting your account.

Our service providers hold copies for their own operational periods after we delete ours: database backups at Supabase are rotated within about a week, hosting logs at Vercel expire on the schedule of our plan, sent emails remain in Resend's logs for its retention window, and Twilio retains verification records under its own policy. None of them can use that data for anything but providing their service to us, and it expires on their schedules.

Timing

We aim to respond to deletion requests within 30 days, and we complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying the request.
