Blucher Custom Boot Company
Gus Blucher founded Blucher Custom Boot Company in Cheyenne in 1915 after a long Justin apprenticeship, then moved to Olathe for shipping access; he died 1932. The firm later moved through Oklahoma (Fairfax / Okmulgee / Beggs; Guthrie also appears in some accounts). James “Smitty” Smith operates in Beggs from 2001. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum holds 218 Blucher fitting books with 110,000+ customer records — primary provenance path for collectors.
