• Marks / paperwork: Handwritten interior attribution, owner names, shop tickets, Texas Traditions vs Capitol Saddlery era labels.
• Visual tells: Artistic tops (cactus and other motifs appear in Miller discussions of Dunn’s artistry); the beret in portraits is personal, not on the boot.
• Pegging / handwork: Traditional custom construction — inspect welt, pegs, and heel stack on the pair.
