- 1964 named models. Western Marshal: 16-inch stovepipe tops, dogger heel, squared Texas toe, calf tops and vamps, also offered with a narrow toe. Printed colorways are No. 70 Black, No. 71 Brown, and No. 72 Tan, listed at $31.95. Flying Eagle is No. 58 on the same plate.
- Marks. An in-boot stamp is not attested on the 1964 plate. Photograph any interior label, box, or paperwork.
- Champion collision. Joe Hall Flying Eagle is not Champion Boot Co. Double Eagle. City, house name, and construction have to agree before attribution.
- Later shop name. Austin-Hall on a later pair is the same house lineage in the 2002 press, not a second inventor.
Maker-specific markings guidance has not been documented yet. Preserve the complete stamp and compare it against dated sources.
