• M style numbers. Retailer listings use an M prefix for women's boots (M7511, M9012, M9120), MK for kids (MK9153) and B for baby boots (B9014). Cavender's adds its own AB prefix, as in ABM9155.
• Size range. The official site sorts styles into Adult, Youth and Kids.
• Country of origin. The official history says Guanajuato, Mexico.
• Not Anderson Bean mainline. A Macie Bean name and an M number point to the Mexico-made women's line, not Mercedes-made Anderson Bean.
• Not Miss Macie. maciebean.com lists Miss Macie as a separate brand in the family.
