Starnes · History
Why collectors care
Starnes is a cowboy-boot name printed on Visalia Stock Saddle catalogs. Collectors who hold a numbered pair need the plate, not an invented factory biography.
This page is a manufacturing-company name card. No founder and no factory city are locked from the sources used here.
Company history
Visalia Stock Saddle Company Catalog No. 31 prints Starnes boot styles on pages 76–77 and a “Changes in Starnes Boots” price list. The Internet Archive item visalisadd05unse is the source used for WBW rows. Style numbers filed from those plates are 8405, 1705, 5319, 5131-X, 5134-X, 0355, and 3135.
A founder name and factory city are not locked from the sources used here. Attribution requires the printed Starnes number and the Visalia plate.
