Construction / ID tells
- Heritage icon language (brand): Handmade in 200+ steps in León; Goodyear welt; hand-laid cording; hung leather lining; stacked leather heels on many dress styles; lemonwood pegs explicitly listed on SKUs such as The Jamie.
- Inspect the pair: Not every Tecovas SKU is identical construction (rubber vs leather outsoles; lifestyle lines). Photograph sole, welt, pegging, insole brand.
- Marks: Interior Tecovas mark, size, style name/SKU, Mexico COO.
- Fit system: Signature lasts refined for wide first-pair comfort.
- Channel era: Early DTC-only pairs vs later wholesale/Bass Pro distribution — same brand, possibly different retail stickers; construction is still pair-based.
- Not a tell: Collab colorways (Chili’s red booth leather, etc.) beyond novelty documentation.
Maker-specific markings guidance has not been documented yet. Preserve the complete stamp and compare it against dated sources.
